"In December 2009, I graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor's of Social Work and moved to Richmond. I work as an Educational Support Specialist at Charterhouse Day School, a private therapeutic day school for students 7-12th grade. I provide behavior support in the classroom and am the facilitator between students, staff, families and social service organizations. I previously worked as an intern at UMFS in the therapeutic foster care program, and provided case management and mentoring services to children ages 2-13. This involved ensuring they get to required appointments, providing life skills, and, if needed, advocating for the child's complex needs. I have been babysitting for 8 years for children of all ages 0-13; I also have cared for younger cousins and my nephew. I am interested in working with children in the capacity of social work; in my spare time I enjoy traveling, photography, and watching football. I have very basic experience working with some special needs children as well as infants. I am reliable, patient, and hard working.."
