Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ¾ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

 

Mix butter, 1 ½ cups sugar and eggs.

Blend flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Stir into butter mixture.

Roll into 1 inch balls.

Mix 2 Tablespoons sugar with cinnamon and roll cookie balls to coat.

Place cookie balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Don’t over cook – Snickerdoodles are best when soft!
