Sopapillas

Ingredients:

  • Flour tortillas
  • 1-4 Tablespoons oil
  • cinnamon & sugar mix

Cut 1 package of flour tortillas into wedges.

Heat frying pan with 1-4 Tablespoons oil.

Place pieces of tortillas in pan just long enough to brown, approximately 1-2 minutes.

Remove from pan and sprinkle both sides generously with cinnamon sugar mix.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or just start munching!

Best if eaten after preparing but can be kept crisp in ziploc bag or re-crisped in a low (200 degree) oven.

This is a quick and easy dessert that can be prepared after your Mexican dinner using the leftover tortillas. Make a lot or a little! Kids will be amazed at the transformation of the tortilla!
