Virginia Fishing Adventures has been providing the basis for many a fish story over the last five years for Richmond's youth. And most of them are even true! We offer day and overnight fishing programs for campers ages 6-15. Our goal is to teach our campers the value and enjoyment of the outdoors while spending time in some of the area's most productive fishing locations.Basically we go fishing and have fun!

Virginia Fishing Adventures provides all equipment, tackle, bait, food and drink. All campers need to bring is themselves dressed in clothes they don't mind getting a little wet and dirty. No fishing experience is necessary.

Day Camps:

In our 9-14 year-old program, campers learn the basics of freshwater fishing from knot tying, to casting, to navigating rivers. Campers will fish a mixture of private ponds, rivers, and streams over the course of the week.

Sessions: Mon-Friday. 10 sessions available in 2010
Times: 8:30-4:30
Cost: $550 per camper/per week

Our 6-8 programs offer much the same for younger campers. Campers will learn the basics of freshwater fishing on private ponds and rivers.

Sessions: Mon-Friday. 8 sessions available in 2010
Times: 9:30-2:30
Cost: $375 per camper/per session

Our new Advanced Camp is designed for campers with some substantial fishing experience. We will build on previous fishing skills and teach canoeing basics so that when campers leave they are truly self-sufficient fishermen.

Sessions: June 21-25
Times: 8-5. Last night camping.
Cost: $700

Overnight Camps:

We offer several overnight options. We partner with Summer Camps on the River at Christchurch School for camps on the Chesapeake Bay and Tangent Outfitters for camps on the New River.

Other Programs:

Virginia Fishing Adventures also runs day camps in Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia along with weekend camps and guided fishing trips.
