"I was a Geography
schoolteacher from 1974 -1976. I got married and changed careers,
spending 20+ years in information systems and accounting.
In 2002, I regained
my Virginia teaching certification, and, for the past two school
years have been a substitute teacher for the city of Richmond and
county of Henrico.
I enjoy working with
students on an individual or group basis in the education environment.
I am acutely aware of student's needs not only in core subjects
to learn, but also, to have the ability to interpret information.
I have first-hand experience
with SOL requirements, teaching these in the classroom.
Although I am certified
in Social Studies, I can tutor grades 6-9 level English (grammar,
literature) and Math (algebra, geometry) students."
