"I have a Master's
degree in literature from VCU, where I taught freshmen and sophomore
composition while in graduate school and as a part-time instructor
once I graduated. I also have a B.A. in English/writing and a minor
in Secondary Education from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA.
Beyond the classroom,
I have worked with students in outdoor education at Peak Experiences
Climbing Center, Passages Adventure Camp, and CATS Camp Leaders'
Take Shape camp. I have facilitated school groups in high and low
ropes challenge courses, teaching them leadership skills, how to
assess risk, and teambuilding skills.
I also worked as a writer
for a local publication here in Richmond, writing articles on everything
from sports, health & fitness, to features and local news."
